    Want to travel to Alaska for a three-day powwow?

 

HONORARIUM FOR THE SELECTED DRUM GROUP

 

ROUND-TRIP AIR (provided for 8 members)

HOUSING ACCOMODATIONS (provided for 8 members)

GROUND TRANSPORTATION (1 vehicle)

STIPEND of $250 for event (8 members required for full amount)

EQUAL SHARE OF BLANKET DANCES (3 total /1 per day)

 

Note: Interested drums should submit a letter of application by 3/1/12. 

Please include a group photo, a tape or CD, and a short biography of your drum.

The Midnight Sun Intertribal Powwow Council is organized exclusively to bring together Alaska Natives, American Indians, and First Nations People of Canada in a powwow setting to share similarities and diversities, to honor the elders and children, and to educate the general public of the heritage of the indigenous people of North America.  This is an alcohol and drug free event.
